Frequently asked questions

Do I need a teaching certificate?
No certification is required, though having TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent credentials will boost your profile and help you charge more. We verify based on proficiency and experience.
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed weekly via bank transfer (Philippines) or PayPal (international). The platform fee is 20% — you keep 80% of every lesson.
Can I set my own schedule?
Yes. You publish your available time slots and students book from those. You can block off time whenever you need.
What happens if a student cancels?
Students who cancel less than 24 hours before a lesson forfeit their payment. You receive your full payout for late cancellations.
Is there a minimum number of hours I must teach?
No minimums. Teach 1 hour a week or 40 — it's entirely up to you.
